The main strip is packed with traffic, deliveries and pedestrians for most of the day, so we usually hand over either at your hotel entrance if it has a forecourt, or on a calmer side street a few metres away. Hotels up the hill behind the strip are easy; addresses right on the seafront in the evening are the hardest, and we will suggest a better time instead of pretending otherwise.

Parking, one-way streets and the evening rush

Hersonissos parking is genuinely tight from late afternoon onwards. Several streets behind the strip are one-way and change direction more often than a map suggests, and the free spaces near the harbour disappear by dinner. This is the single strongest argument for the smallest car you can live with: a compact fits places an SUV simply cannot, and you will park several times a day.

Insurance, deposit and conditions
