Resort, Old Town and the hotel areas

Delivery works differently across the three parts of Malia. The beach-side hotel areas east of the centre have proper access and are simple. The main avenue is busy and slow in the evening, so we prefer a side street handover. The Old Town lanes are narrow and partly stepped, so there we agree a meeting point at the edge of the old quarter. Tell us the address and we will say which applies.

Parking and driving out of Malia

Parking near the beach and the main avenue is difficult in the evening and easy in the morning - plan around that and Malia is comfortable. The exit onto the national road is quick, which is the real advantage of the resort: you are on the fast road east within minutes, and the mountain road to Lassithi starts just beyond the palace. Watch for pedestrians on the avenue late at night.

• Malia Minoan palace - five minutes east of the resort.
• Sissi and Milatos - 15 to 25 minutes along the coast.
• Lassithi Plateau via Mochos and Krasi - about an hour of mountain road.
• Agios Nikolaos and Elounda - 35 to 50 minutes east.
• Stalis and Hersonissos - 10 to 20 minutes west.

Insurance, deposit and conditions

Unlimited kilometres, taxes and fees are inside the one total price we send you, and you pay in cash or by card when the car is handed over.
