How long is the boat trip to Dia island?
The short catamaran cruise is about three hours. The full sailing day from Heraklion marina lasts roughly five to six hours at sea, usually 10:00 to 17:30.
What does a Dia island boat trip cost?
Shared trips start from EUR 80 per adult. Private charters are priced per boat - tell us your group size and date and we quote the same day.
Is food included?
Yes. Water, soft drinks and local wine are on board, and the full-day option includes a Greek meze lunch on deck. Snorkelling gear and towels are provided.
Where does the boat leave from?
Heraklion marina, next to the Venetian fortress. Parking is available at the marina, or add a hotel transfer when booking.
Can we walk on Dia island?
Parts of Dia are a protected Natura 2000 reserve. The crew lands only where it is permitted - usually in Agios Georgios bay.
What happens if the sea is rough?
The skipper decides on the morning of the trip. If it is cancelled you get a full refund or another date, no fee.
