Timing
Sunset is around 20:50 in June and 18:20 in October. Arrive 40 minutes early for parking and stay 20 minutes after - the afterglow is the best part.

No. The gravel track to Balos is strictly forbidden with any rental car, 4x4 included - insurance is void there. Take the boat from Kissamos.

Falassarna on a windy evening, Kedrodasos when I want silence.

Yes, just slower - mountain roads have no lighting and goats wander.
