Nikos Kazantzakis airport is small, and after a late flight the last thing you want is a shuttle to an off-site depot and twenty minutes of insurance upselling at the counter.
We meet you in arrivals with the car, hand over the keys after a five-minute check, and you drive straight out. Delivery and return at the airport are free, at any flight time.
The airport exit puts you straight onto the E75 national road: west for Heraklion city, Ammoudara and Rethymno, east for Hersonissos, Malia and Agios Nikolaos. Speed limits are 90 km/h on the national road unless signed otherwise, and Greek drivers habitually use the hard shoulder to let faster traffic past - you can do the same when it is safe and clear. Do not do it near junctions.
