Ammoudara is Heraklion's own beach strip: a long sandy bay, a line of hotels and apartments, and the city ten minutes away in the other direction. It is close enough to town that a car is optional for dinner, and far enough that everything else on the island needs one.
We deliver to hotels and apartments along the whole Ammoudara seafront, with insurance in the price and no deposit or credit-card hold.
You do not need to visit a rental office. Tell us where you are staying in Ammoudara, your dates and the car group you want, and we bring the car to you. The seafront road and the streets behind it are easy to reach, so delivery to Ammoudara is usually same-area and free of charge for a normal rental period.
The ring road puts you on the E75 in a couple of minutes: Heraklion centre and the port east, Agia Pelagia and Rethymno west. Parking in Ammoudara itself is street parking near the beach, which fills in the evening - a small car is the practical choice here. Fuel stations are on the main road towards Gazi.
