The old coast road links Hersonissos, Stalis and Malia and is slow, crowded and full of people crossing where they should not - especially at night. The E75 national road runs parallel just uphill and is the one to use for anything further than the next village. Parking in Stalis itself is easy compared with the towns either side, but the side streets are narrow and get blocked by delivery vans in the morning.
