Age rules are one of the things most rental sites keep vague until the counter. We would rather you know before you plan the trip, because the rule depends on the car category as well as your age.
Tell us the driver's exact age and how long they have held the licence when you ask for availability, and we confirm in writing which cars are possible and what the total is.
The minimum age and minimum licence-holding period depend on the car category - a city car is not treated like a premium SUV.
Younger drivers may have a young-driver surcharge; when there is one it is inside the quoted total, not added later.
Higher categories can be closed to younger drivers entirely. We say that plainly rather than taking a request we cannot fulfil.
Every additional driver must be named and meet the same conditions.
An EU driving licence is enough; non-EU licences may need an International Driving Permit.
What does not change
Whatever the driver's age, the insurance is the same: FCDW full insurance plus WUG cover at €0 excess, no security deposit and no credit-card hold. There is no extra excess for younger drivers and nothing to buy at handover.
How availability and pricing work
There is no instant checkout. When you send your dates we check personally what is genuinely available for that period, and we reply with the car (or a similar one), the conditions and one clear final price. Nothing is reserved until you confirm in writing, and no payment is taken to ask.
Insurance, deposit and conditions
Every MyCrete rental includes FCDW full insurance plus WUG cover - tyres, wheels, glass, mirrors and the underbody - at €0 excess, with no security deposit and no credit-card hold. Kilometres are unlimited and the quoted total is the amount you pay at handover, by cash or card. Fuel is not included: you receive the car with a set fuel level and return it the same way. Insurance is void off-road, including the gravel track to Balos. Cars are arranged from our own fleet and from selected local partners, and MyCrete stays your contact for the whole rental.
